Welcome to BenefitEd

Discover the simple steps to help us implement your education benefit products—and find resources to successfully promote the benefits to your employees.

Employer Implementation Timeline

In six simple steps, we work with you to gather the information we need to create customized education benefit products for your organization. You and your employees will be ready to go in a matter of weeks.

Sign Contract

The process starts with a signed agreement to partner with BenefitEd for your education benefit products. We work with you to create custom products that achieve your organizational goals and help meet the unique educational and financial goals of your employees.

Complete Questionnaire

Your dedicated BenefitEd account manager emails you a questionnaire to gather more information about the education benefit products you want to provide your employees. Once they receive your completed questionnaire back, we schedule a kickoff call at your convenience.

Onboarding Call

In this call, we review information you’ve provided and get details we need to build your customized benefits product. We’ll talk about how the product is administered, what types of metrics you’ll have access to, and more. Plus, you’ll learn more about how to promote benefits to employees.

Return Documents

Your account manager emails you to let you know which documents we need you to complete and return to us in order for us to build the products we discussed in the kickoff. You return the documents as requested, and then explore other helpful, optional resources provided as you have time.

Create Product

With all the necessary information in hand, BenefitEd’s designers build a custom product with all the parameters and calculations needed for us to easily administer education benefits for you and your employees. You’ll have a user-friendly employer portal that makes it easy to upload eligibility and other files, and an employee portal that offers a simple enrollment process and interface.

Product Demo

We’ll schedule a call to demonstrate how the product works, including how you provide employee eligibility files, verify employee status, and receive monthly enrollment reports to keep track of benefit activity and impact on retention. You may also schedule a demo to walk your employees through BenefitEd—or you can set up a webinar later.

What BenefitEd Needs From You

There are just a couple of key documents we need from you after our kickoff meeting in order to create your customized education benefit product.

Your account manager will send you the enrollment email template and ask you to edit and return the template with your company changes (company name and contribution amount). If you’d like to add a company logo or change the way you introduce your benefit product, please include these in your reply to your account manager—and your enrollment email template will be customized for you.

After the kickoff, your account manager will send you the ACH form. It must be completed by an authorized person at your organization and returned with a voided check or signed bank letter. This allows funds to be transferred from your account to BenefitEd for administration of benefits on behalf of benefit participants.

BenefitEd Products

BenefitEd offers several flexible employee education benefit products that you can tailor to help achieve your organizational objectives while helping to relieve the burden of managing educational and financial goals for your employees.

Employer-Assisted Student Loan Repayment

By helping employees pay back student loans through making regular monthly payments, you can recruit, engage, and retain more educated, productive, and focused employees. You have the option to choose which employees receive the loan repayment benefit—and how much you contribute to each of them.

Tuition Benefit

Help your employees continue their education and gain a smarter, more skilled and productive workforce. With BenefitEd acting as a third-party administrator, we free up time—and you’ll have access to detailed analytics on participation and outcomes so you can track benefit success.

Employer-Assisted College Savings

Extend the reach of your benefits by making contributions to employee 529 college savings plans in combination with—or independent of—student loan repayment. It’s your education benefit product, so create a benefit that’s right for you and your employees.

Employer Match

Help your employees pay off their student loan debt easier and faster by matching their contributions to student loans. This smart recruitment and retention strategy lets you help employees who are struggling with student loan debt or trying to save for future education costs with a 529 college savings plan.

Support Solutions

We refer employees considering student loan refinancing to a trusted resource in Nelnet Bank, and provide student loan expertise to help your employees learn how to manage finances and balance competing goals. Plus, our Resource Center offers industry updates, whitepapers, tools, blogs, and more for you and your employees.
